SETTING AUTOMATIC STUDENT DEFAULTS FOR MENU ITEMS AND PRICE

A common question we get is “What are default menu items?” Default menu items allow you to set a default meal for students based on their school and grade. Then, when the students go through the serving line and enter their number or scan their barcode, they will automatically be charged for the correct meal. This can speed up your serving line because it eliminates the need to have the cashier select the correct meal item for each student. Did a particular student bring a cold lunch to school and just need to be charged for milk? No problem! Our program has a change-to-milk button that makes this easy to do. The change to-milk button can be found here: LCS1000>Lines>Line Settings.

If you do use default menu items in the line, did you know you did not have to enter these defaults for each new student manually? We have a Default Menu Item feature that will add menu item defaults automatically for all new students. You can find this feature here: LCS1000>Lines>General Settings>Student Default Item Profiles.

Tuition Module/Screen Shots And Description

1A) Using our Batch editor for tuition contracts, schools can assign contracts individually or on a large scale.  Schools also can assign scholarship contracts to students who qualify.

1B) Once contracts are assigned you can view these contractdetails under the “Contracts” Tab of your District Administrative Site.

1C)Parents can also view and sign their contracts inside the parent portal by clicking on the Tuition app button.

2A) With our PowerSchool Plugin, parent’s can login directly to PowerSchool, click on  Smartschoolk12 under navigation menu. They will then be directed to our app bar. Once there parents would click on tuition, they will be able to view any unsigned contract, scheduled payment’s and outstanding balances.

2b) Parents can select the “Make a Payment” button in PowerSchool and be routed over to the “Checkout” application to make their payment for tuition and pay for other fee’s, including lunch. They will also be able to view any payment history

3 a& b) In our admin portal schools can view and print invoices, add check or cash payments. They also have the flexibility to delete the invoice as well

3 c) Schools can view the contracts as well (see image 1b), see inactive contract and delete contract.

3d& e) Schools can search for orders by bank account or fee item.

3f) Schools can refund the ordersunder order details.

4) Schools can generate an Accounts Receivable report in our Administrative portal (which shows current balance, days past due. This report can be generated csv

1. Client ID
2. Client Secret
3. Admin URL

As a fail safe for this integration type, once a user is set to use Google Apps SSO authentication type can only be adjusted manually. If a user is not automatically set to this authentication type via the imports, the user can be set manually from within your domain, and following imports will not change their authentication type.
